Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and what we never touch.

Last updated 31 July 2026

Short version: we collect what is needed to sell you a $17 book, deliver it, stop the access link from being passed around, send the notes if you asked for them, and figure out whether our pages work. We do not sell your data, we do not send you email you did not ask for, and the company you build with this runs on your own machine, where we never see any of it.

Who "we" is

This site is operated by ROAS Performance LLC, the seller of HeadcountZero. For anything in this policy, write to support@headcount-zero.ai and a human reads it.

When you buy

Checkout runs on Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your name, email and payment details under its own privacy policy, and we never see or store your card number. From Stripe we receive your email address and the purchase confirmation, which we use to deliver the product, handle refunds, and answer support email.

Checkout asks for your name and email in a first step, before the card. That creates your customer record with Stripe at that moment, so if you leave before paying, we still hold the email you typed. We use it to help you finish the purchase or answer a question about it. You can ask us to delete it at any time, as below.

Your delivery page is a personal access link. To keep it from being shared around, each time it is opened we record the IP address, country, and a visit count against your purchase record. That is fraud prevention, and it is the only thing we use it for.

When you subscribe to the notes

If you enter your email in the newsletter box, we store that address, the date, and where you came from, so we can send you the notes. That record is kept with Stripe alongside the customer list, tagged as a subscriber rather than a buyer. Every note has a one-click unsubscribe, and we do not sell, rent or share the list.

Subscribing does not buy anything and never triggers a charge.

Measurement on this site

We use a deliberately small set of measurement tools, and you should know exactly what they are:

  • Our own analytics — a first-party tool on our own infrastructure that records page views, clicks, scroll depth, rough device characteristics (screen size, browser) and a random visitor ID. It exists so we depend less on anybody else's.

That is currently the whole list. If we later add third-party analytics or advertising measurement, this page changes in the same deploy that adds it, with the date at the top moved, and the tool named here.

These tools use cookies and similar storage: our access cookie so your delivery page works, and a visitor ID in your browser's storage. Blocking them with your browser or an ad blocker will not break anything. The purchase and delivery flow works regardless.

The delivery and checkout pages deliberately carry no third-party analytics at all, because their addresses are personal access links.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information. Nobody is buying lists from us.
  • We do not send marketing email without your OK. Buying gets you delivery and product-update messages about the thing you bought. The notes are separate and only go to people who asked.
  • We never see what you build. The architecture runs on your own machine with your own Claude subscription. Your files, your work, your company's data: none of it touches our servers, ever. We operate no backend for the product itself.

Who processes data for us

Like nearly every website, we rely on a few service providers: Stripe (payments and the customer record), Vercel (website hosting) and Cloudflare (our own analytics infrastructure). Each receives only what its job requires and handles it under its own published privacy terms.

How long we keep things

Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires. Access-link logs: for the life of your purchase record. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data: per the standard retention of the tool above. Support emails: until the thread is resolved and a reasonable time after.

Your choices and rights

Email support@headcount-zero.ai and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, except records the law requires us to keep, such as the accounting record of a purchase. This works the same whether or not a specific privacy law technically applies to you. It is one mailbox and a human, not a portal.

If you are in the EU, UK or a US state with a privacy statute, you may have formal versions of these rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection) and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. The informal version above is faster.

Our site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, but the email route above covers everything DNT would.

Children

This product is for people running businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16, and the site is not directed at them.

Changes

If we change what we collect or who processes it, this page changes first and the date at the top moves. No silent edits.
